Talk to Yourself Like You Would a Lover

By actively NOTICING when you criticize or beat yourself up, you find huge opportunities for positive change. Easy changes to make, that bring noticeable shifts to your joy.

Improving your self-talk is the key to bringing on great rewards.
It's 100% possible to replace unloving self-talk with something gentler, motivating, supportive acknowledging and uplifting. As if you were your own lover.

How would you talk to your lover?
Re-direct this loving talk toward yourself.

Here are some self-talk tips you can use immediately, now that you have fallen in love with yourself all over again:

Notice "I Can't" or "I'm not ______ Enough" statements.  They create resistance inside of you, which would sabotage any attempt you are making to be positive.  Start cancelling out your negative internal input. You would never say this to a lover. Imagining yourself this way makes it easy to shift.

Conjure up a positive image and begin sharing it with yourself. You'd do it for your lover!
Tell yourself stories about joyful experiences, including ways to acknowledge yourself as well.  Create joy inside of yourself, and automatically your self-talk stays positive.

It's realistic to expect that replacing negative self-talk with positive input will take some work and time. You'd enjoy the process if it was your lover. . . so. . . do it with all your might!
